Born in 1980, in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. Moved to New York with my parents in August of 1990.
Currently studying Art Education (k-12), MA and is hoping to complete this degree by 2011. I have already earned both an AAS and BA degree in Education (Early Childhood Education/Special Education B-2) with a concentration in Fine Arts. My ultimate goal is to become a Professor with a Phd in Art Education/Childhood Education.
Some of my major influences are Salvador Dali, Monet, Mondigliani and so on. I tend to favor the Impressionists, Surrealists, Symbolists, and Cubisits forms of art, because even though everything is purposely positioned as it should according to the artist, they all have that underlying element of spontaniety which lures you in. I love experimenting with new mediums because I feel certain aspects can be carried over and across the vast spectrum of art. It's wonderful when when you can lend one to another simply because it makes for a more interesting piece.
